Why does my father say things like this to me?

Too long to read the whole thing. The first part can be a couple of reasons. One is that your dad believes wrongly that it will make a man out of you. Toughen you up so to speak. Another reason is that he has a lot of anger that he takes out on others around him, usually stems from being a loser himself. Either way there is nothing you can do about it so you need to learn to control how it affects you.
