What are the most tender places to get a tattoo?

Really depends on your pain threshold. Is it your first tattoo? Wrists do hurt unless you've had your foot tattooed, then the pain is nothing. I have a small tattoo just above my right hip (lower stomach) and that was the most incredible pain I have ever been in (20 minutes total); and I've sat through numerous hours of other tattoos and nothing compared to that. Places that don't hurt are the top of the back, below the shoulder, most of the back away from the spine - my next is the ribs going down over the hip and top of leg, soo that would probably hurt after a while. The good thing about back tattoos is they can be easily covered for work or if you don't want to show it off. But just choose where ever feels right - the pain is part of the experience, and the adrenaline normally carries you through most of it!
